We are excited about the new journals we found recently at market and hope you will like them too.  The titles and many of the pages have great prompts to get you started – and if you’re like me that’s all I need is a start and I’m off and going for pages.  We ordered little beer and wine journals for those of you who love to try different kinds and want to remember what you liked (and the few you didn’t), where you were and who you were with when you tasted.  We ordered some “My Bucket List” to get you thinking about what’s important to you and what you have left you want to accomplish while on this ole earth (more…)

Ever have a stack of important papers laying under your cupholder in your car and by the time you get where you’re going, the condensation from your drink has dripped all over them?  I sure have!  I keep my box of kleenex between my two front seats which happens to be right under the double cup holders.  So, without a car coaster, my ice water drips all over the kleenex.   (more…)

I never know what a day or a week is going to bring at The Grumbles House.  Who will call with an Estate Sale for us to handle?  Who will pull up with a car full of interesting old stuff they want to be rid of?  Who invites us over to climb through a house so full of pretty old things we wonder if we’ll ever see it all…..and so it goes that unique old things constantly come and go around here.  Sometimes as we are moving it in to sell, someone sees it, loves it, buys it and we move it into their vehicle instead of our shop.  Other things come and sit with us for an eternity.  Who knows why?  It just depends on what catches the eye of whoever is passing through at the moment, whats in the latest decorating magazines and what customers collect.

Since 2003, Look At Me Designs has had one mission: to create eco-friendly, fashion forward, one of a kind, wearable pieces of art that are MADE IN THE USA. Every item is handmade from, or embellished with, recycled materials. 

At Grumbles House we love finding companies who make great products with less impact on mother earth, things that are beautiful, useful and fun to get and give as gifts.  We think these scarves and hats are some of those things:  useful as the recycled wool sweaters keep your head and neck warm, fun because the appliques are trendy & stylish and great for gifts because they are unusual and nearly one-of-a-kind.

We are excited to add another Dunnellon souvenir to our inventory.  Our customers want them to take home to remember us by as well as to give as hostess and thank you gifts.  These cheese plates are functional yet works of art, which in my mind, is a good thing to start with.  Add the facts that it’s recycled AND made in America and that makes it “the whole package” – a winner!
