WorldFinds is known for ethically-sourced and eco-friendly jewelry from New Delhi, India, and Bali. Be part of a solution for ladies across the globe by purchasing their handcrafted goods at Cedar St. Boutique!

We are happy to offer you a unique collection of coastal and river themed wall hangings from a company that has been designing and selling decorative art for over 30 years.  Conceived and designed in Florida by American artists, and reproduced by Indonesian artisans on the Island of Bali where traditional craftsmen have been working for over 10 generations, we are happy to bring to Dunnellon these pieces that can be used a statement piece in your home or fill a space in the guest room or hallway.

The art is made of mixed mediums of wood, steel, stone and glass which bring the beauty of the outdoors in.  All are hand crafted by skilled artists & hand painted so no two items are identical.  When you travel, you may see them in finer gifts shops,  throughout the US & Canada as well as many Caribbean ports of call and Hawaii but you may as well buy them HERE!

Heron, Sandpipers, Pelican, Dolphins, Tropical Birds, Lakeside Sunrises, Lighthouse Scenes, Mermaids, Jellyfish & Sailboats are the items pictured here.  Come walk both buildings to see all of  what we have.  My pictures aren’t the best but I tried to give you a glimpse of how the pieces look on different colored back grounds and textures.

After several years of selling the beautiful “half heart” table lamps in the 4 & 5″ globes and a few pendant lamps, we are happy to bring you a wonderful assortment of choices in this mosaic style.  We felt like we made an amazing new friend when we met the owner of this company recently.  We agreed to bring in this wide assortment to see what our customers are interested in and so far, folks have loved the choices.

We’ve sold quite a few pieces we probably never would have ordered if we hadn’t made the agreement for the entire assortment.  It’s been a fun surprise that will guide us in future choices. From our new friend’s factory in Turkey to his U.S. business in Arizona, we bring you hanging lamps, floor lamps, table lamps, hand painted spoon rests, bowls & plates in several sizes, salt & pepper sets & condiment dishes and more.

These items will add a touch of vibrant color to your space and can be used in any room of your home or given as a unique gift.

Not only do we consider the product when choosing merchandise for our store, we are interested in the story of the company.  We like to partner with people who are working to make positive change in this world; to help better the situations of the poor, to recycle objects that can still be used to make beautiful pieces and have a new life instead of landing in a landfill and to craft unique and beautiful items you don’t see everywhere else.  The mission of this small mother daughter company is to empower women and children in the battle against human trafficking.  They strive to provide women with the tools they need to live hopeful, sustainable lives.

The ladies weave Kaisa grass into useful baskets that hold embossed terra cotta stones that can be heated and used as bread warmers. These make great housewarming gifts, especially when given with fresh baked rolls.  They re-purpose silk saris into beautiful, functional baskets, great for organizing many items.  They also up-cycle kanthas into patchwork laptop carriers and duffle bags with leather handles, all nicely lined with pockets for essentials.  My favorites are the stamped leather journals with the tree of life and sun on the front.

Chala Handbags are back at our stores.  Years ago we carried them when they first came on the market and then we moved on to something else.  They continue to create colorful, whimsical animal bags that kept catching my eye, so we recently jumped back in for another order.

Some of you will like to know that Chala is an advocate of animal rights and welfare.  They donate 5% of their annual net profits to help animals in need through their charity partner, Heart and Home Animal Rescue Foundation.  PETA-approved vegan leather is used to create every fanciful figure and handbag.

Visit Cedar St. Boutique to see more Chala bags – some canvas, some vegan leather – all with nice pockets, zip & snap closures, and a choice of straps for shoulder or crossbody or wristlet.

New June 2022 arrivals at our boutique. Lightweight & simple yet chic linen are great for our hot Florida summers.

We are happy to partner with companies who strive to reduce, reuse & recycle as Gumbies does. Inspired by Australia, their home is in FLORIDA. Each pair of their Flip-Flops feature special outsoles made from recycled and natural materials. They’re contoured to fit on your feet like a glove for a unique fit. The rugged tire-like tread provides grip and durability.

The ‘Islander’ flip flop, also known as the 1000-miler, was conceived with a passion for simplicity, necessity, and most importantly- freedom. Utilizing natural materials based on a strong ethical foundation, but with a visible point of difference, the quest for the perfect flip-flop had begun.

Prototypes were made using old tires, but realizing that car tires were too crude and not commercially viable, Gumbies founder Michel Maurer set about exploring the use of recycled rubber instead. Bonding it with jute for strength and sandwiching an EVA midsole for comfort, topping it with canvas for a more natural touch to the skin. Finishing off with vibrant, but contemporary colors, each one tells a story – a blank canvas to express his beliefs and unique view of the world

Some of the materials used for Gumbies are rubber from tires for the soles, recycled cotton reclaimed from production and other sources used in the straps, rPET (Recycled Plastic) from post-consumer products such as bottles is used in Duckbill flip-flop straps and plastic bottles that are processed down to reusable materials such as polyester or felt.

Moreover, Gumbies shows their stand with Trees as they will plant a mangrove tree in either Madagascar, Mozambique, or Kenya on your behalf for every order placed.

One of the things we LOVE to do at Grumbles House is create community by bringing people together who don’t yet know each other. We do this through events that align with our values and our business.  We like to learn what we can do to better ourselves and our surroundings and we find many of you do too.  We host gardening & earth friendly events and today we enjoyed a visit and lesson from Nicole’s Daylilies of Eustis.
Nicole & her mother Susan told some plant-love history and how Nicole became interested in hybridizing and then went on to explain the parts of a daylily (we saw the ovary – how exciting), how to pollinate and a little about Nicole’s business and how it’s grown over the years.  Information & publications from the Daylily Society were shared, lots of questions were asked and answered and we all got a bloom or two to take with us through the day.
We appreciate Nicole & Susan coming to share as well as those who attended who added to the conversation.  Until next time…. thanks for reading and we hope you’ll join us for an event in the future.
